Fashion Modeling
FASHION MODELING:
Fashion modeling involves posing for photos while wearing clothes from various designers and brands. It's also about showcasing your unique style and personality to the world in a creative way.
Fashion models are people who are hired to model clothing, accessories, and beauty products in a range of fashion-related activities, including photoshoots, runway shows, and other fashion events. Fashion models are known for their physical features, including their height, weight, and body proportions, as well as their ability to convey emotions and attitudes through facial expressions and body language. They are widely regarded as trendsetters and idols in the fashion industry, and their images are disseminated through print and digital media. Fashion models may collaborate with a variety of clients, including fashion designers, clothing brands, advertising agencies, and fashion magazines.
Types of Models:
High Fashion Models:
These models tend to have tall and slender body types with striking features. Their portfolios often include editorial images rather than campaigns or advertisements in magazines like Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, etc., as well as appearances on runways during international fashion weeks.
Commercial Print Model:
Commercial print models usually appear in ads for products such as clothing, beauty products, household items, or food brands. They may also be seen in catalogs or online stores where their portfolio website contains lifestyle shots showcasing multiple looks and poses. Often times these models come from a wide range of body types including plus-size modeling which has become increasingly popular recently.
Runway Models
Runway models showcase designers' latest collections at various events such as Paris Fashion Week or New York Fashion Week by walking down the runway wearing clothes designed exclusively for them by the said designer(s). This kind of work requires height (5”9+), thinness, and extensive knowledge about how to move gracefully while posing for photos backstage after each show is completed.
